User Manual

Welcome to the SEI-GENA user guide. Our platform is designed to help you navigate through thousands of international calls for proposals using advanced artificial intelligence. Follow these steps to maximize your results.

1. How to Query

To get the best analysis, we recommend using specific technical keywords or full sentences. For example:

"Look for funding opportunities related to bioeconomy and forest restoration in South America."

2. Understanding the Analysis

Once you submit a query, SEI-GENA performs a serial analysis of the database. For each relevant result, you will receive:

  • Institution Name: The entity offering the funding.
  • Project Title: The specific name of the call or program.
  • Technical Analysis: A summary generated by the AI explaining why this call matches your needs.

3. Processing Times

Because SEI-GENA performs a deep RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) process to ensure accuracy, complex queries may take between 30 to 90 seconds to complete.

4. Best Practices

  • Avoid very short queries like "water" or "forest". Instead, use "water management strategies in urban areas".
  • If the system shows a connection error, verify your internet connection or try refreshing the page.
  • Use the "Analysis Sidebar" in the main chat to see metadata and additional stats.
